Vegas had a surge in visitors because of strong weekends and convention attendance. It hosted almost 3.7 million guests last month, which was a 2.2% increase from the previous month.

According to the August 2019 report of the Nevada Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation, the unemployment rate varies in metropolitan areas while the Silver State’s job growth continues to be the fastest in the nation for the tenth month in a row.

“Nevada economy showed generally positive signals with the release of the most recent data. June gaming revenue rebounded strongly after five consecutive months of year-over-year losses, up by 11.6% from last year. May taxable sales rose strongly by 7.7% from last year. June Nevada air passengers exceeded the level from last year by 3.4%. May taxable sales rose strongly by 7.7% from last year,” Nevada Business reported.
