Christine Curtis Wilson is a local glass artist that has been perfecting her art for over nineteen years. She creates custom glass artwork for personal, residential, and commercial customers via her business Christine’s Glass.

A WOMAN OF ACTION

Wilson is blessed on both sides of the brain. In her early years, she chose to concentrate on the left side. She was a CPA and an MBA degree holder. In her spare time, she also worked on earning a pilot’s license for flying a commercial helicopter.

As Wilson moved forward in life, she missed her creative side. Growing up, she was exposed to the arts because her mother is an artist. While her mother is into art forms such as oil painting and drawing, Wilson has her eyes’ sparkle on stained glass art. With her love for animals and underwater photography, she was able to create original glass masterpieces, eventually bringing Christine’s Glass to life.

AN AWARD-WINNING GLASS ARTIST

Wilson’s work has been featured in several galleries and exhibits across California and Nevada. To give an example, her artworks have been displayed at the Summerlin Festival of Arts from 2015 to 2018.

A variety of her glass artworks will be on display at this year’s Summerlin Festival of Arts once again.

SAVE RED ROCK

“Save Red Rock” is an artwork close to Wilson’s heart. It served as her way to advocate the preservation of the Red Rock Canyon Area. It won first place in both the judges’ and people’s choice awards in the Professional Stained Glass Category at the 2018 Glass Expo.

The achievement led Wilson to become an artist-in-residence at the Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center. During her stay, a life-size photograph on the metal of the “Save Red Rock” was exhibited for public viewing.

CUSTOM GLASS ART CREATIONS

Wilson utilizes a combination of stained glass, glass fusing, glass combing, mosaics and Vitri-Fusáille techniques in her process of creating glass artworks. She can also present her Vitri-Fusáille artworks through a lightbox.
